January Report

Hi all,

Everything is going good on this end. I started my 2013 on a high note with work-related workouts and triathlon specific workouts all mixed together. I instruct the bootcamp classes as well as regular fitness classes, spin classes at United Tribes. That accounts for 9 workouts already in a week. When I add swimming workouts, running and at-home cycling sessions I'm already up to at least 16 workouts every week. That's probably more than what Average Joe or Jane does. With the winter on top of us at least my mind settles easier with the fact that I cannot bike outside as much as I would have to. I still ride more than any other year as I was barely moving a year ago due to my knee injury and I really just started triathlons not even 2 years ago.
So it's all going in the right direction. With all this training I'm super excited to see what this new season will bring in terms of better swimming times, stronger bike legs and a much stronger body in general. I'm confident to say that I will bring home more trophiesm shinier and more valuable awards. I also hope to have more dedicated supporters stand behind me and think of my successes in racing in Bismarck, North Dakota as an investment to show people that even here you can become one the best in outdoor endurance sports. I have goals no less, than competing at the highest level I can, to continue advocating health, fitness and all the benefits of regular exercise and to introduce triathlon to all ages in our community and help build the champions of the future.
Those were some deep thoughts so read on and cheer up!
At last let me show you one of my falls from last year that was recorder in Snowbasin, Utah during the XTERRA USA Championships. Note: I competed with bruised ribs as I had another accident weeks before this race so thos fall definitely didn't help me in this race.. :)
